211031 Walking in Judarskogen and Kärsön

Yesterday evening I suddenly felt the urge to go for a little trek. I had spent an intensive week at work and had played chamber music the whole Saturday and needed some fresh air in my wings.

None of my friends could make it so I searched online for a trekking group activity and found that the Stockholm Vandring Förening had 3 walks of different lengths on offer, all starting and ending at the same places but at different times.

I chose the shortest one, having not trekked for a while and joined the group walking 8km from Åkeshov Station to Kärsögården on the other side of the bridge going to Drottningholm.

A lovely walk with mostly old ladies, a few with their male partners and 2 men alone. All were/seemed to be Swedish except a Brazilian woman who had lived for ever in Sweden and with who I spoke all the way.

The walk took us through really nice nature and the weather went from cloudy and grey to a clear blue sky and 10 degrees so it was perfect weather too be outside.

Unfortunately we were 38 and walked very slow. I don’t mind to much the speed but with so many people come also a lot of noise. I prefer small groups or high max 10. Anyway I am glad I went and spent the day outside.

This is Finnberget when I came back.
