Have you all ever tried and surf for something radicaly different from the stuff you usually look up? Give it a quick try: do one single google search on Helium in the solar system for example or on Ferrari engines or on crossword techniques.
I did this using Google on Firefox (set to save no history at all and to erase all information and cookies upon closing down), I have a yahoo email address and a facebook account in which I absolutely NEVER put up anything and that is set to maximum security.
Now adds appears on both Facebook and Yahoo about what ever I search for! It’s like magic! So Google sends Yahoo and Facebook information about my searches as soon as I search for anything so they can send me appropriate adds! Facebook also suggests as ‘friends’ people I actually know and with whom I have no friends in common but that have a facebook account! It’s magic! How do they do that? Facebook must be scanning my computer for names and email addresses so it can search them in its database!
I am not criticizing, only mentioning what I have noticed. I think I am going to try the same thing on another search engine to see if the same thing happens.
Have fun everyone out there!
