We got married!!!

David and I got married last Saturday!! 🙂 The ceremony was held at the beautiful city hall of Stockholm. It was supposed to start at 14:45 and end at 14:50 but really only lasted for 2 min!! Strangely enough our witnesses did not need to show any id or sign anywhere! Weird Sweden!! They only had to write their name on a paper. Even stranger is that we didn’t need to sign either! But we had to show our ids before being called in. The lady was quite eager to conduct the whole thing in French because her accent was not good in English she said but we still had it in English so that David would not get any easy reason to complain afterwards! 😉
Max and Alex were there which was really nice and they stayed with us the whole day even though we were so very near home they could have walked back! I thought it was a very nice wedding present from them! My witness Linn, her hubby Philip and their cute one Alexander Allen were there too, as well as Toby who was David’s witness.
Afterwards we all went to Boule och Berså, a boule place by the canal with live jazz, food and drinks. Many of our friends were there as we had invited them although they had no idea about the wedding. We had a fantastic afternoon in the sunshine and a few friends followed us back home in the evening.
The next day David and I went sailing in the archipelago. As it was supposed to be windy we sailed to a strange island called Säck which has some sort of a doughnut shape with one thin slit in the doughnut so that boats can get in the inner bay. The wind was blowing so hard that we didn’t sleep much but we still had a gorgeous time and were lucky with the weather as it only rained during the night. We swam and picked wild blueberries and David pretented to work the next day (he gave up pretending very quickly!). Then we went back home and that was it! So it’s done! We are married!! Honeymood done and all! 🙂
