Paimpol in August

This August we all (David, Max, Alex and I) went to Brittany for 2 weeks.

We were simply bloody lucky with the weather! I must say that of course I had order great blue sky. I got my order in just fine, only one day late and with slightly more wind that I had planned for but that only made our sailing on the 4.7 or the windsurf more happening.

It was pouring the first day! We, my dad and Odile went to a Mackerel festival, a good excuse to eat moules-frites or grilled mackerel, drink some good old cider and listen to Breton music. Was wet but fun!

Then simply 2 weeks of gorgeous weather until the very last hour when we were in the bus driving us to the Beauvais airport when it started pouring again!! Tough life really!

It was all very relaxing and happy. I sorted out a couple of stuff on my mum’s Mac. Visited my cute and shrinking grandma. Yann and his family came the second week so I could get my share of MaĆ«va’s bisous. Poor her fell for Max who broke her heart immediately without any hesitation. I met all my cousins whom I had not seen for 10 years or so. Nice people if you ask me. Had great fun in the oudoor swimming pool at my dad’s friend with Matys who is as nut as ever. We went to the Festival of Seasongs, le festival des chants de marins which has nothing to do with sea songs anymore but was about African music this year so we were lucky enough to hear Toure Kunda http://www.toure-kunda.com/and Johnny Clegg whom I had already heard in Singapore a few years ago http://www.johnnyclegg.com/

The harbour was as beautiful as always packed with old boats with their sails out.
Pictures here and here!

Life is indeed, really good!
